Request An Inspection

The Rancho Santa Fe Fire Protection District now offers customers the opportunity to request a fire inspection via email (you must have email access to participate in this service).

TO PREVENT DELAYS IN YOUR INSPECTION(S), PLEASE FOLLOW THE GUIDELINES BELOW.

If you know the guidelines already, click here to request your inspection.

1. To request an inspection, please include the following information in your email to our Fire Prevention Bureau:
   • Type of inspection you desire
   • The project name
   • Address or lot number with cross street where inspection is to take place
   • Contact person
   • Phone number (cellular, office and/or pager) of contact person
   • Time necessary to complete inspecition
2. Next, please specify the following:
   • Whether you wish for the inspection to occur in the "A.M."
     (between 8:30 a.m. and 12 p.m.)
   • Or, whether you wish for the inspection to occur in the "P.M."
     (between 1:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m.)
   • Or, you may specify "FIRST AVAILABLE."
3. Now, specify your choice(s) for inspection dates:
   • List your first choice (date, time) for an inspection.
   • List your second choice in the event your first choice cannot be honored.
   • List your third choice in the event your first & second choices cannot be honored.
   • * NOTE: Often, our first available inspection appointment is 4 to 6 days out; please adjust your project's timeline accordingly.
4. Finally, click on the "Request an Inspection Now" link, below.
   • Write in your inspection request information (numbers 1, 2 and 3 above)
   • Press "Send" to send your email
   • You will receive a confirmation of your appointment from one of our inspectors within 24-hours (Monday through Friday). No responses will be given on weekends or holidays.
