The purchase, use or distribution of fireworks is against
the law anywhere in San Diego County.
"Fireworks" include not only fire crackers, M-80's
and related explosives, but also sparklers, bottle rockets,
party poppers, snappers, coated garbanzo beans, fountains,
cones and spinners.
Fourth of July
Fireworks
Not only are fireworks dangerous, but they are completely illegal
in San Diego County. This holiday, keep your family safe from unnecessary
burn injuries by leaving fireworks to licensed professionals.
The video below share the story of the Shannon family and the tragic loss they suffered as a result of a legal consumer firework accident. You can learn more about firework safety at the National Fire Protection Association's website.
